In every community and every city, one priority looms above all others – serving and
protecting the needs of children. Cities all over Broward County feature more than its share of
hurdles and obstacles for our youths. Today's young people face a seemingly endless array of
challenges and decisions, which makes community role models and leaders more important than
ever.
With this in mind, the Broward County Bears were formed to bridge the gap between
youth and young adulthood by instructing and playing top quality football and positively
developing our neighborhoods and communities in the Broward County area. In addition to
athletic development, the Broward County Bears also promote the development of character,
leadership, sportsmanship, accountability, and academic achievement. The Bears Organization
will encourage and help those individuals who do not have a high school diploma or college
education go back to school and share in the dream of both academic and athletic excellence.
The Broward County Bears, amateur adult football organization is comprised of men& women 18 years and older, from various backgrounds, and who reside in Broward County.
The Broward County Bears' organization, players, coaches, staff and volunteers are
committed to being positive forces in their different communities. The Bears Organization
intends to provide quality family entertainment to our community. The Bears nurture fitness,
volunteerism, and a lifetime love of sports in the community. Our staff, coaches, and players
have been involved in a number of mentoring opportunities like Sunday School teaching,
volunteer youth football coaching, and participating in community programs like Big Brothers & Big Sisters and the Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Broward County. The Broward County Bears' administrative officers, coaches, and staff are run entirely by
100% volunteer efforts. Through community partnerships and support of local businesses and
organizations, the Broward County Bears will achieve its goal of developing into a notable and
invaluable community-enriching program. |
